Summary

Although predictable, this was enjoyable。 The main character shows some strength and intelligence which is refreshing。 On the other hand, why do the men in this series have so much baggage???!

For once, a sequel is better than the first。

Fun and light, like the first one。 She tried to add a bit more character development in this one, which was a bit arduous at times but it did help me feel like the romance between Anthony and Kate was more real than Daphne and Simon in book one。 I have the third book on my shelf ready to go, but I think I'll take a short break, read another book, and then come back to this series。 Fun and light, like the first one。 She tried to add a bit more character development in this one, which was a bit arduous at times but it did help me feel like the romance between Anthony and Kate was more real than Daphne and Simon in book one。 I have the third book on my shelf ready to go, but I think I'll take a short break, read another book, and then come back to this series。 。。。more

The best, hottest, and funniest book I've read in ages。 I loved it。 The beginning is full of a love-hate relationship between Anthony and Kate。 She dislikes him on his rakish reputation alone, but sparks fly and while Anthony wants to court a woman he won't fall in love with, he cannot resist his desire for Kate。 Even though she drives him mad! Is romantic but a little bit too cheesy and the love story is nice kind of from hate to love

Another delightful Bridgerton novel! I loved reading Anthony's story, and I can't wait to see this one portrayed on screen。。。 especially the Pall Mall scene。 I loved Kate's character as well, and I found myself more drawn toward these characters and their challenges than to Daphne and Simon's (though I do still hold the original installment near and dear to my heart and believe they are the superior couple)。 Can't wait for the next! It always impresses me when a sequel is more addicting than the original novel of the series。 I loved the Bridgerton's from the start of the last novel and if possible, fell in love with them even more。 Book two tells the tale of the first born Bridgerton's triumph with finding love。 Anthony and Kate have such real fears and the humor is endless。 The second epilogue being included with the audiobook was wonderful and had me laughing the entire time。 It always impresses me when a sequel is more addicting than the original novel of the series。 I loved the Bridgerton's from the start of the last novel and if possible, fell in love with them even more。 Book two tells the tale of the first born Bridgerton's triumph with finding love。 Anthony and Kate have such real fears and the humor is endless。 The second epilogue being included with the audiobook was wonderful and had me laughing the entire time。 。。。more

I was so ready to enjoy this, and at times I did。 I love a goofy slapstick story with a love interest ready to call Anthony out。 However, Anthony keeps getting in his own way。 I didn't particularly like how often he wanted to hit or hurt people, including Kate。 I hated even more that he'd "win" fights with her by just getting close and assaulting her (nothing dramatic, but he'd touch her or get up in her face like he was about to touch her) and then she'd just turn into a goopy mess of nothing。 I was so ready to enjoy this, and at times I did。 I love a goofy slapstick story with a love interest ready to call Anthony out。 However, Anthony keeps getting in his own way。 I didn't particularly like how often he wanted to hit or hurt people, including Kate。 I hated even more that he'd "win" fights with her by just getting close and assaulting her (nothing dramatic, but he'd touch her or get up in her face like he was about to touch her) and then she'd just turn into a goopy mess of nothing。 I also don't like the coercion with the sex scene。 Darn it, I want to enjoy these books and I'd like to do so without consent issues。 It would've been 3 stars if Anthony respected Kate's wishes and then she changed her mind later once she'd had a chance to think。 Booo。 。。。more

。。。more
